Piano Lessons

Many people think of the piano as one of the most difficult instruments to learn...we won't tell you it's easy, but we will make it so learning is fun and you want to keep coming back to it.

Piano lessons at Haddonfield Sound can vary greatly depending on the type of learner you are, as well as what your interests and goals with the instrument are. The coordination required to play the piano can be daunting to someone who hasn't experienced it before, and reading music can feel very difficult. We have qualified teachers who are ready to help you to understand each step in order for you to become a successful pianist. Our teachers will cater the lessons to the interest of the individual student, working on songs that the student enjoys, or choosing intriguing repertoire to make practicing more fun.

For someone looking to take their skills to the next level, our teachers can help you explore the complexities of jazz, classical, or any other style you may be interested in pursuing.  If it's out there, we can help you learn how to play it!

What you’ll need:

  • a notebook or manuscript book

  • pen/pencil

  • piano or keyboard to practice on at home (there are many styles and types of electronic keyboards out there, if you feel overwhelmed by your options, you aren't alone - read our blog on some great options!)
  • Eventually your teacher may recommend a piano book, whether it be a method book or a song book. But that will mainly depend on your interests and goals.
